Complete overhaul of a production management application for the automotive industry.

Project Context

Commissioned for a 2-month mission to restore and modernize a vital internal solution for tracking automotive parts production.

    Technical Challenges

    The main goal was to implement a logistics module. However, significant technical debt required a broader overhaul: updating Tomcat, securing Java code, and improving user experience.

      Achievements

      • Software architecture overhaul in Java EE.
      • Requirements gathering from production operators.
      • Prototyping (Adobe XD) and integration of a new responsive interface.
      • Implementing best practices: Gitlab, Unit Testing, and Documentation.
      • Fixing security vulnerabilities and optimizing MySQL queries.
